Development Associate
Austin, TX 2019 September 2021- July 2022
Supported the Assistant Dean and CDO and worked full time in the College of Fine Arts’ Development office. Worked to maintain databases (specifically VIP, UT’s CRM) and processed gifts and gift acknowledgements. Oversaw two letter projects – both major donor communication initiatives – and organized five major College-wide special events from conception to execution. Wrote internal and external literature for publication and distribution. Generally, communicated with over 500 donors and collaborated with my team to support fundraising initiatives such as 40 for 40 and two different campaign launches including managing guest lists and contracts.

NEWSLETTER AND BLOG January 2019- Present
Author blog posts on various subjects on my personal website serving an audience of 850 through WordPress. Serve as a featured writer on a local Newsletter emailed quarterly to an audience of 1,000 readers.

HARRY RANSOM CENTER
Events Manager
June 2019- September 2021
Planned and managed up to 24 Ransom Center events per semester including lectures, presentations, readings, performances, tours, receptions and external events. Duties include organizing travel, caterers, florists, security, and custodial. Communicated with speakers and external event organizers to organize logistics. Performed budget management tasks such as maintaining expense tracking sheets, generating event estimates, and following through with payments. Managed group of 86 Volunteers. Processed administrative paperwork including OOEFs, BCRFs, contracts, EICCCs, and PIFs.

THE LONG CENTER
Education Intern
September 2018- June 2019
Worked closely with the Education and Outreach Director and the Producer of the Heller Awards. Aided in organizing every aspect of the Heller Awards including registration, venue set up, mass communication, stage managing and organizing the Judge’s Retreat. Organized and managed VIP pre-show area for judges and high-level donors using Tessitura to generate a guest list. Communicated with over 25 judges about 34 school productions and documented their results.

TEXAS PERFORMING ARTS
Student Event Manager
January 2016- June 2019
Organized and planned 15 student orientated pre-show lobby events per semester, encouraging return visits. Managed weekly outreach through email and meetings. Facilitated conversation between guests and performers. Collaborated with peers to develop 8 student programs, enabling student involvement. Engaged campus in the Fine Arts through 4 promotional projects.

Skills

Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, SEO, CRMs, and WordPress. Experienced in writing and editing for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, email newsletters, and other social media.

Language: Fluent in Spanish.

Certifications: Copyediting certificate, non-profit marketing certificate, and extensively trained as both an LGBTQ+ and Disability advocate. Various LinkedIn trainings and certifications on writing with impact and nonprofit management.
